The SGJO is the internationally-acclaimed, award-winning, 16-piece modern jazz group dedicated to playing original and music of Scott and other contemporary arrangers. Now 10 years old, the SGJO has just released its second recording, Brush Fire, met to high praise. The SGJO has a busy summer. Besides gigs at jazz clubs around Detroit, they will be playing of series of concerts with bassist John Clayton of the Clayton/Hamilton Jazz Orchestra. The SGJO was chosen to premiere an original work of his as one of the features of the 2009 Detroit Jazz Festival. The SGJO is very active on the scene. Check back often for what we're doing.
